Katie judges MTLC
Posted by: | CommentsKatie Parsons, Miss Clark County 2011, had the opportunity to be one of the esteemed judges for the 2011 Miss Teen La Center festival pageant! As a La Center native and former Miss Teen La Center Princess, Katie was excited to have the opportunity to support her local community! Congratulations to the 2011 MTLC Court- Queen Makayla Chord, MTLC 2011, Ashley Fleck (1st Runner-Up), Elizabeth Koenig (2nd Runner-Up), Madisen Scialabba (3rd Runner-Up), and Emily Martin (4th Runner-Up).
As an additional surprise, MCCSO’s Jacquie Brown, Miss Washington 2010 (Miss Greater Vancouver 2010) was the emcee for the evening! She entertained the audience with humor and a little vocal showcase!
A special THANK YOU to Linda Tracy, MTLC Director, for all of her hard work and dedication to MTLC and the La Center community! What a wonderful opportunity for these young ladies!
Battle Ground Parade
Posted by: | CommentsAlthough there we had unusually cool and cloudy weather for July, we enjoyed the Battle Ground Parade! The showers held off just enough to allow the tops down on the convertibles! (This felt a little more like the Veteran’s Day Parade given our jackets and umbrellas!)

Carstar Jacobus Carwash
Posted by: | CommentsMCCSO’s very own Jacquie Brown, Miss Washington 2010 (3rd Runner-Up at Miss America), Katie Parsons, Miss Clark County 2011 and Alicia Cooper, Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen 2011 participated in the 2011 Carstar Soaps It Up National Fundraiser! This event raised over $1000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation and Miss Clark County Scholarship Organization!
Thank you to everyone that supported our efforts at the Carstar-Jacobus Soaps It Up carwash! The event was an amazing success due to the generosity of sponsors like Dave Jacobus, Jacobus Carstar, Enterprise Rent A Center, Sandy Hammond (Columbia Credit Union), Ed C. Starbucks Appearance

We shared a wonderful evening with friends, family & guests!
We would like to thank the staff of Battle Ground Starbucks, Diana Larson, Vic Sorisio, family & friends for the gift of time & your support!
Through this event, MCCSO was able to make a charitable donation to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, our local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital!

IHOP- National Pancake Day

Alicia & Katie had the opportunity to visit EVERY IHOP in Clark County and serve FREE pancakes to our community! While serving pancakes, our titleholders were able to promote Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals! Throughout the night the girls competed to collect the MOST money for CMN… and the winner was… CMN!!
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) is a non-profit organization that raises funds for over 170 Children’s Hospitals in the U.S. to help sick and injured kids in local communities! MCCSO & Miss Ameria are proud to support CMN and our local CMN hospital, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital!
CMN has been Miss America’s National Platform since 2007. Since then contestants have raised over $4,828,221.00 at the local, state and national levels! (Proving that TOGETHER we can ALL make a difference in the lives of others!)
Rocksolid Community Teen Center Auction
Posted by: | CommentsKatie Parsons, Miss Clark County 2011, and Alicia Cooper, Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen 2011, were able to support the Rocksolid Community Teen Center at their annual auction. Katie & Alicia were engaged at the event greeting guest, selling raffle tickets, and showcasing many of the wonderful items available at the LIVE Auction!
Funds raised at this event help provide a place for kids that is safe and fun with adult supervision and good peer support. Rocksolid Community Teen Center provides an environment where teens in out community can receive positive influence to encourage them to give back to the community and future generations.
Thank you Rocksolid Teens, staff & Nancy Miller (Executive Director) for a wonderful evening. MCCSO appreciates the opportunity to support this wonderful youth program in our community!

Miss Clark County Scholarship Organization had the opportunity to support the Clark County Children’s Sharing Project this year! Children’s Sharing Project helped more than 3,000 local children have a brighter holiday thanks to the generous support of our community!
